The Texas Local Fire Fighters’ Pension Conference is a nonprofit corporation organized under the Texas Non Profit Corporation Act. This organization is formed for the purpose of educating fire fighter pension board members. Because serving on a pension board is often a secondary, voluntary duty for the individuals involved, educating board members on fiduciary responsibility, board management, and sound investment practices is crucial for the health of these pension funds. The Goal of the Non Profit is to provide educational opportunities may include annual statewide conferences, regional workshops, lectures, and other events as the board deems appropriate.
